Why I Created This Site
I created this site because many people ask me about my natural hair and/or weight loss. I found myself spending a lot of time talking to individuals about things like hair products, hair regimen, diet plan, etc. I was saying the same thing over and over again. I figured it would be easier to put the information on a website or blog where individuals could visit and read about it.

Disclaimer
I am by no means a physician, weight loss expert, or professional hairstylist. All the information I share on this site is what works for me, so it may not work for you. You are unique, so take the information and "tweak" it to fit you and your lifestyle!

Words of Wisdom
· Remember, always consult a licensed physician before starting any diet or before taking any type of diet pill or dietary supplement.
· Research all products for yourself.
· Listen to your body.

About Me

Picture
I am your typical girl who loves to cook, eat, and have fun. Because of me being a workaholic, I rarely cook or have fun, but I do, some how, manage to eat!!!!! Oh yeah, I love Old School/R&B music!

During my free time, I like to make jewelry.  I am working on an online jewelry store called Unique Ears.  I am hoping and praying that it will open soon.
To get my exercise in, I run and do crossfit training.  Some of my friends and I got together and started Walk Jog Run Club.  WJR Club is a walkers'/runners' club that promotes healthy living.

Hair Tips

Tip 1:  Get Your Mind Right
Decide what you want for your hair.  Do you want natural hair or relaxed hair?  Do you want long hair or short hair? Do you want to transition for a long period of time, or a short period of time?
Tip 2:  Be Very Gentle
Treat your hair like it is a prized possession.  Think of your hair as a new born baby.  You must handle it with care.
Tip 3:  Set Goals
Try to put your hair on a routine or schedule.  This includes a wash and deep conditioning routine.
Tip 4:  Do Your Research
Research products and their ingredients to decide if they are right for you and your hair texture.
Tip 5:  Find Staple Products
Try to find staple products that your hair loves.  It's okay to be a "product junky" at the beginning of your journey, but try not to continuously switch from product to product.  As your hair needs change, your products may change.

Tip 6:  Love Your Hair
Many of us (me included) wish we had a different hair texture.  Embrace what you have and learn how to take care of your hair.  Remember, all textures are beautiful.
Tip 7:  Only Do Your Hair When You Have Time
I must admit that I am the queen of ripping through my hair when I am washing, de-tangling, or even styling my hair.  Be sure to deal with your hair when you are well rested and have plenty of time!
Tip 8:  Be Patient
Don't expect for your hair to grow Rapunzel length or become the healthiest head of hair ever over night!  These things take time, so don't get frustrated and give up!
Tip 9:  Use Heat Properly
I personally don't use heat often, but that is what works for me.  If you use heat, make sure you are using a heat protectant and make sure you are not over doing it.
Tip 10:  Leave Your Hair Alone!
Remember, sometimes it is best to give your hair a rest from too much styling.  Find protective styles that will fit you and your lifestyle.

Living a healthier lifestyle is a life long commitment.  You must make a conscious decision that you want to change and are ready to change.

If you listen closely, your body will tell you exactly what it needs.  Make sure to give your body what it asks for.
Tip 3:  Set Goals
Set goals for your inner and outer self.
Tip 4:  Do Your Research
Always research everything!  Don't just take someone's word that a product or diet will be good for you.  Learn for yourself what is good for you.
Tip 5:  Plan Ahead of Time
Make sure you already know what your workout routine will be before you get to your workout destination.
